Nice tactic. Not even subtle.
I have listened to Rush since the early 1990's. And it is clear that this nonsense has been creeping into his commentary over the last couple of months. I believe it is via his brother David who lists on his blog, and listens to spiritual advice from very questionable people. His blog links to a host of religious frauds, hatemongers, and liars.
I am a lifelong Republican. I have never once voted for a Democrat. Once, when my cousin was running for the school board as a Democrat, I did not vote so that I would not have to vote against her.
I am a lifelong Methodist. I know what a true Christian is and how a true Christian behaves. It it bears no resemblance to the hate fest that evangelicals and fundamentalists have turned Christianity into. They even have the arrogance to claim to speak for "Christians". This is non-sense.
Christians do not trash Mormons. Christians do not trash Jehovah's Witnesses. Christians do not trash Masons. Christians do not trash Hindus. Christians do not trash Buddhists. Christians do not trash Wiccans. Christians do not trash Muslims.
Evangelicals and Fundamentalists do it all the time.
Do a Google blog search on "evangelical" and an of the above terms. And you will be assaulted by hatred. Not Christ.

You are correct, in my haste I did quote you incorrectly and have since corrected my mistake. With that said, your follow up comment seened to suggest that I was in fact partially correct anyway!
