Rush Limbaugh: Media Fear Sarah Palin!

"Nice photo, huh!"

"Talk show host Rush Limbaugh is praising former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin as the conservative candidate liberals fear the most...“I have been pointing out that the Democrat Party and the media will tell us who they fear most -- and they're not afraid of Huckabee, and they're not afraid of Mitt Romney and they're not afraid of Rudy Giuliani,” Limbaugh said on his show Tuesday. “But they have gone out of their way to destroy Sarah Palin." http://www.newsmax.com/insidecover/limbaugh_palin_book/2009/09/29/266306.html

Psst: By the way, I would vote for her in a heartbeat! Obama is a pleasant guy whom I wish the best for but policy wise, he's a leaf blowing in the wind!

The Demography of Discontent!

This person demonstrates a sad commentary on (lawful) free speech. God does not hate (period). Neither is America doomed. It will take more than one administration to accomplish that........we pray.

An interesting quote from religiondispatches.org today:

"It's more than white republican conservative Christians who are losing confidence in Obama. A survey taken back in April reveals the roots of this season's protests — the results are surprising.....Unsurprisingly, whites – especially those lesser educated – register the highest levels of discontent with Obama. But it's also important to recognize that 55 percent of Asians, a third of Hispanics, and half of all other immigrants were not at all confident. The faces of these latter constituencies show up less in the media coverage of angry protestors, but their presence should not be overlooked .....As judged by their pictures, they are predominately older, white, male, born-again Christians. Their signs point to a mix of frustrations.....Driven by fear and fury, and certainly not by any one singularly framed argument, they latch on to one or another scapegoat, prodded by the incessant and inflammatory voices of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and others on both television and radio." http://www.religiondispatches.org/archive/politics/1864/i_want_my_country_back:_the_demography_of_discontent#

Rush Limbaugh's January pledge that the President will fail!

Mary Matalin and James Carville respond to Former President Bill Clinton's comments about how the agenda of the "vast right wing conspiracy" is to want President Obama to fail, and how it's not as strong as it was:

Matalin takes "vile, finger-biting off blogging nuts" to task, while Carville argues that "the Republican party has doubled down on Rush Limbaugh's January pledge that they want this President to fail," and says that it's gone "from the vast right-wing conspiracy to the vast right-wing talking points."

Rush Limbaugh deserts to the Dark Side???

It seems with some that Rush just can't do anything right. Today from the Amarillo Globe-News:

"I felt a tremor in the earth ... Rush Limbaugh joined the Dark Side. He is a spokesman for the Humane Society of the United States. It was like finding out your brother is a cross-dresser. It is possible that Rush is feeling lonely and has that same need to be "liked" as Ted Kennedy. We all want people to like us. I just wish he'd looked into the Humane Society a little deeper, but he has a kitten named Pumpkin and it gives him comfort. He was vulnerable. Does Rush know the Humane Society is a lumbering giant? It is a bloated bag of money changers, a grotesque sugar daddy pouring money into lobbying, litigation and fundraising, while disingenuously holding up photos of cute sad-eyed kittens and puppies, as if the money you sent to it would actually help them." The Humane Society recently issued a statement saying, “The animal protection movement should never confine itself to the Left or the Right in American politics. Opposition to cruelty and the embrace of the human-animal bond are universal values, and people of every background and point of view should find common purpose with the work and programs of The Humane Society of the United States and its affiliates.”

In case you missed it, here is Rush's afore mentioned PSA:

Obama Nations? Snipets of Rush's comments!

Interesting photo today at theodoresworld.net:

One comment there reads thusly:

"People's willingness to throw American Exceptionalism, American Military Dominance, National Security, the Troops still downrange, and pretty much everything else in the face of a mild recession at worst; just so they could think they would keep their f*cking money, feel good about overcoming some farcical racial stigma (white guilt), and get "free healthcare" has shaken my trust in the people this Country to stand up for the Freedom and Saftey of the Republic. Since then, I have all but lost my faith in the american people."

Snipets from the Rush Limbaugh show during Obama's speech at United Nations can be found on the same page.

Beck vs.Limbaugh?

In an e-mail to POLITICO, Limbaugh said any attempt to compare him with Beck in terms of Washington influence rests on a "flawed premise."

"The rise of Glenn Beck may be the topic du jour among media and politics obsessives, but there remains a lot people that either don't know who Beck is or have a fixed opinion." Michael Calderone

Barack Obama's America 2012!

When Rush Limbaugh talks about "Barack Obama's America", to what is he referring? Well, portions of an article from National Review by Michael Novak on May 15, 2008 kinda sums it up this way:

"If the United States shows signs of weakness, surrender, and a one-sided departure from Iraq, the rejoicing of those who predicted that they would in the end defeat us will profoundly strengthen their resolve for the next battle."

"If Obama keeps his pledge to raise taxes on the top 10 percent of income earners, he will give them enormous incentives to alter their behavior, so as to show lower income. Since the top 1 percent of earners pay over 35 percent of all income taxes paid by all Americans, any decline in their income means a steep decline in tax revenues."

"His policies on quasi-universal health care will change all the incentives in our current health system — and for the worse. Studies show that a high proportion of demands for health care are the result of personal behaviors — eating or drinking too much, not exercising enough, leading a dissipated life, not taking advantage of preventive care, spending health dollars heedlessly"

"Neither Obama nor his party seems to understand how incentives motivate human behavior — not force, not coercion, not mockery, not nursery-school regulation, but real possibilities of good fruits up ahead for free and responsible actions. They do not understand the wellsprings of a virtuous, free, and prosperous society. They are still entangled in the fantasies of the European Left of 150 years ago."

Morally, too, virtue and character and responsibility for oneself would be mocked and discouraged. The State would take over more and more of life. Although licentiousness would be glorified on big screen and small screen, neither self-directed liberty nor self-mastery nor responsibility for the consequences of one’s own behavior would be encouraged. These would be treated as retrograde ideas. All virtue would be attributed to the motherly caring State — and to its political managers.

Woe to the “right-wing” dissenters!

Rush Limbaugh’s August Ratings Soar; Media Ignore the Feat

“Rush is the driving force, he’s the engine behind the gains, and yet they ignored it,” Brian Maloney told CNSNews.com."

"Arbitron’s “Portable People Meter” (PPM) ratings for August show that Limbaugh experienced record ratings in a number of major American radio markets. According to broadcasting industry analyst Brian Maloney, Limbaugh had “blockbuster success” in some key cities, including Los Angeles -- home to the number one radio station in the country....In liberal Seattle, Limbaugh went from 9.3 in July to 10.1 in August on KTTH. In Chicago, the number three media market – and President Obama’s hometown -- Limbaugh took second place overall on WLS, increasing from 5.0 to 5.3, with 319,700 tuning in. Even in San Francisco, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) hometown, Limbaugh's ratings on KSFO, a leading station, went from 4.9 to 5.6 – makig his show number two in the market."
