Effort to contain Gulf oil stalls with stuck saw!

PORT FOURCHON, La. – The risky effort to contain the Gulf oil gusher hit a snag Wednesday when a saw became stuck in a thick pipe on a blown-out well in the Gulf of Mexico.

In the following clip the ROV (remotely operated vehicle) is working at the LMRP (lower marine riser pack) trying to cut the riser pipe with a diamond blade saw. ROV gets stuck. Large plumes of gas and oil can be seen coming from the riser pipe.
