Koran Burning Pastor Responds To Petraeus!

Terry Jones, the pastor of the Dove World Outreach Center who plans to burn Korans on Sept. 11, said this morning that he will still go ahead with "Burn A Koran Day."

"We are actually very, very concerned of course. And we are taking the general's words very serious. We are continuing to pray about the action on Sept. 11. We are indeed very concerned about it. It's just that we don't know -- I mean, how long do we back down? When do we stop backing down?" he said.

"We are definitely praying about it. We have firmly made up our mind, but at the same time, we are definitely praying about it. But like I said, I mean, how long, when does America stand for truth?" he went on. "I mean, instead of us being blamed for what other people will do or might do, why don't we send a warning to them? Why don't we send a warning to radical Islam and say, look, don't do it. If you attack us, if you attack us, we will attack you."

Mind you, this is NOT a representation of Christianity and the teachings of Christ. Freedom of religion is still a basic tenant enjoyed in this country, and there will always be differences of opinion between belief systems. Therefore, for those of us who disagree with this "counter" act of terrorism, here are two addresses with which you can voice your opinion:

All the liberals are stumbling over themselves defending the Quran, but NONE of them EVER defend the Bible. Instead, they profane it in every venue possible from the schools to entertainment to their politics. The are silent when Muslims spit on it, burn it or defile it. They uttered nary a peep when the US Military burned Bibles in Afghanistan. I wrote Pastor Jones and advised him to let God light the match. If he wants to have a redo of Mt. Carmel and Elijah, why not put Bibles on one side of a table and Qurans on the other. Spray the Qurans with fire retardant and the Bibles with lighter fluid and see if God sees fit to spare the Bibles and consume the Qurans. A confrontation is long overdue, but it has to come from God and not from man.
