Corey Thompson Immigration Remarks!

Corey Thompson, candidate for Mecklenburg County Commission At-Large, gives his remarks at a press conference called by all three GOP At-Large candidates on July 30, 2010. "This issue is based solely on upholding the law....many have conveniently lost sight of the world "illegal"....America was forged by an ancestry of immigrants all over the world...yet there remains a legal process for immigrants today." His powerful statement runs about three minutes.

Immigrant Rights Advocates to Cubs Owner: "Move the game!"

In response to Arizona's "controversial" immigration legislation, JCUA staffers, along with other immigrant rights advocates from the Chicago Workers Collaborative and the Illinois Coalition for Immigrant and Refugee Rights, attempted to deliver a petition to Chicago Cubs owner Tom Ricketts yesterday (7-29-10), asking him to move the team's spring training from Arizona to Florida.

In spite of their little bull-horned picket tirade, no one from Ricketts' office was willing to accept the petition. They were asked to leave the premises!

Senator Grassley uncovers DHS memo on immigration!

President Obama, seemingly frustrated with the Congress lack of courage to tackle comprehensive immigration reform, will use his power as Chief Executive of the United States of America to reform immigration as much as he can. One key provision, which has the Republicans up in arms, includes “deferred action,” where an immigrant is not deported if they haven’t committed certain crimes.

The source of the leaked Homeland Security memo was Republican Senator Grassley. Here is the brief Fox News segment on Senator Grassley uncovering a previously unreleased memo regarding government plans to keep illegal aliens in the country.

CNN’s Cooper Apologizes for Not Challenging Sherrod’s Race-Baiting!

Anderson Cooper apologizes for not challenging Shirley Sherrod last week when she labeled Andrew Breitbart a "racist" who wants to "go back to the days of slavery" on his show.

The CNN host then explored the latest controversy involving her husband, Charles Sherrod, and racial remarks he made at the University of Virginia, as well as questions regarding their involvement in a lawsuit against the Federal Government.

OK, but has he REALLY learned an "investigative journalism" lesson? Highly doubtful!

Representative Anthony Weiner Loses it on House Floor!

House Republicans were able to defeat a bill late Thursday that would have provided up to $7.4 billion in aid to people who were sickened by chemicals resulting from the 9/11 attacks. This did not make Democratic Representative Anthony Weiner very happy. (The "gentleman" he is addressing is allegedly New York Representative Peter King.)
He yells: "I will NOT yield to the gentleman....the gentleman will sit, the gentleman is correct in sitting!"

FRESH OFF OF ANOTHER CRIME SUPPRESSION SWEEP IN THE VALLEY, THE "TOUGHEST SHERIFF IN AMERICA" IS TAKING AIM AT THE PRESIDENT AND HIS PLANS TO SECURE THE BORDER.

SEIU POSTS AZ PROPAGANDA VIDEO LINKING GOP WITH FASCISTS!

The service employee union has joined the administration's attack on Arizona's anti-illegal immigration law by using fear tactics, casting supporters of the law as totalitarians. On July 28, 2010, a US District Court Judge in Arizona blocked key parts of Arizona's controversial anti-immigrant law SB1070 from taking effect on July 29th.This means that while the law will still take effect on July 29th, police will NOT be able to use racial profiling to inquire into a person's immigration status. But SB1070 doesn't stop with racial profiling. Further militarizing the border with land mines and machine guns, and shutting off utilities are all policy "solutions" that extreme politicians are considering.
