President Obama on Saturday told CNN that in defending the right of Muslims to build a community center and mosque near ground zero, he was "not commenting on the wisdom" of the project. Where there is no wisdom, it is indeed wise to remain silent!
Speaking before a group of Muslims dining at the White House in observation of Ramadan, President Obama defended the mosque and community center planned to be built near ground zero in New York City.
Last week, the White House had said this was a local issue.
