Despite Record Taxation Through August, Deficit Still Inching Towards a Trillion!

The federal government raked in a record of approximately $2,472,542,000,000 in tax revenues through the first eleven months of fiscal 2013, which ran from Oct. 1, 2012 through the end of August, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement for August.

America responds:
  • So liberals, are you still going to tell me the Federal government has a revenue problem?
  • Record taxes collected . . . and it's still not enough. It's never enough, and it'll never be enough. In 200+ years, we've morphed from limited, constitutional government into the very definition of a bottomless pit.
  • It's called massive government bloat and waste. Comically tax receipts have been down during the tenure of leftist clown Obama...not because tax rates are down, but because his economic policies are anathema to growth. If we reached close to full employment with the old Bush tax rates you'd see what we saw in 2007 - high tax receipts and less people on the dole sucking dollars out of the government.
  • NSA, DOE, FDA, EPA, IRS, DEA, CIA, FBI, DEP, NPS, TSA, DHS, CIA, DOJ, DNR, USDA, DOT, NFS, ATF, USPP, etc., (and growing) federal agencies (each now with their own SWAT Team) becoming predatory towards it's citizens, that produce nothing and generate no revenue but require massive funding from a dwindling, overtaxed private citizen work force.
  • Just wait until they tack on 3 or 4 months of extraordinary measures the fed is supposedly using to fund the beast of government. For the debt has not increased the last couple of months as they are waiting on congress to increase the debt limit - it's kind of amazing this story does not mention this fact. Otherwise, with one month remaining in fiscal year nearly 900-950 billion is likely annual deficit!
  • I wonder how many hard-working people get ANGRY when they write that check every April 15th. Are we that dumb? Are freedom and the proper role of government unknown to us? Is slavery the new norm, fine if we're not beaten or chained?
Surely the revolution would start if just 10% stopped writing those checks. Imagine 12 million people finally saying enough is enough. We might one day be worthy of this country we inherited!
  • We are headed for the Marie Antoinette paradox - when so much money is in the hands of so few people that it becomes meaningless to the rest. That one did not end well.
  • It doesn't take a genius to realize that with Obama care, entitlements, and flooding the nation with overwhelming poverty from south of the border, no economic production because millions have just given up and most of the middle class is working part time, the government will have to tax everything it can think of; including the air we breath.
  • 1. Arrest NWO Banksters
    2. Arrest Minions in Federal Government who work for Banksters.
    3. Eliminate Federal Reserve and Central Bank
    4. Eliminate IRS (Henchmen for the Federal Reserve)
    5. Eliminate Welfare and all other Government hand out programs.
    6. Restore Constitution
  •  4.6%, 5%, 3.8%, and add 2% inflation = 15.4% decrease in savings and purchasing by We the People. $755 Billion borrowed to be paid back by We the People. $2,472,542,000,000: Tax collected Through August; Deficit $755B, A Record screwing of the American People.

Navy Yard Shooting in Washington [Raw Footage]!

At least one shooter was killed by law enforcement officials two hours after the rampage began, the Los
Angeles Times reported, citing "senior law enforcement officials."

CNN, citing Navy officials, said two shooters were "down," but it was not clear whether that meant they had been shot or were in custody.

The Navy said in a statement the shooting took place at the heavily guarded headquarters, where about 3,000 people work.

Abortion Clinics Closing at Record Rate!

The reasons given for the upswing in closings are varied even among pro-lifers. They include:
-- the increasing state regulation and oversight of clinics;
-- a growth in pro-life opinion and activity, and
-- a significant decline in the abortion rate.
In some cases, clinics have shut down when abortion doctors retired or were no longer licensed.

America responds:
  • Planned Parenthood is a messy business and, as stated by others here, may be attracting too much attention, is too easily targeted. Nevertheless, hundreds of millions in profits and government subsidies and quid pro quo political funding are in play, the poser president expresses personal affection for this outfit and its killing: it will continue in a less targetable fashion.
  • The disappearance of abortion clinics may compel individuals to become more circumspect about their behavior. If the emphasis was upon abstinence education rather than how to deal with unwanted pregnancy, the question of abortion would be irrelevant. Until folks are ready to take full responsibility for the consequences, some abortions will be necessary. A girl should never be compelled to bear a child she never wanted, but was violated into conceiving. A woman should not have to bear a child if her own life is at stake. For those who feel we should teach abstinence and still have no abortion under any circumstances because one of those aborted babies might have become a doctor or a farmer, I ask the question "What if those babies had never been conceived at all due to the practice of abstinence? Would we not still be short a doctor or a farmer or two?"
  • I am pro-life meaning I am pro-baby and I am pro-mommy and I am pro-daddy. While abortion clinic demise is good news I wonder what this really means to pro-lifers, you know, the ones like me who are pro-all life. So, now more babies can be born into poverty, born into extremely dysfunctional domestic situations, and more single moms can be looked down upon by Christians in their million dollar palaces (sometimes called churches, or ministry centers, etc). So, Church, Body of Christ, Fellow Believers, how about we start offering some viable solutions to these issues? How about instead of building a million dollar gymnasium or a new sparkling hi-tech fellowship hall, how about we build homes for moms with babies they didn't abort? How about we help feed them, clothe them, invest in them personally. I don't mean giving a donation bag of items to a crisis pregnancy center. I mean how about inviting these moms with their babies/children into our lives to see the love of Jesus?
  • I have often asked those who support abortion to tell me at what stage the "embryo" "becomes" a human being. I'm still awaiting a sensible answer! From the instant that the male sperm pierces the female egg, and the first mitosis, we have a human being - albeit at its earliest stage of development. What is certain is that, if left to grow, it cannot possibly become anything else! It is often said that when the USoA catches cold, the UK sneezes. I hope and pray that this trend will soon be observed on this side of 'the pond' also. Blessings, and shalom.

The ObamaCare Nightmare!

"You know, doctors are people, and we're being hammered on all sides here. It's the paperwork; it's insurance; it's transitioning to electronic medical records, so the government can get their mitts into your practice. It's lawsuits; it's rising overhead and decreasing compensation; it's stress upon stress upon stress. And a lot of doctors are going to say, 'Forget it. I don't want to do this anymore.' Guys that are 5 or 10 years older than me are just going to give up and walk away."

“We’re seeing a significant number of scams because of Obamacare,” said John Breyault, vice president of public policy for the NCL. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has received more than 1,100 complaints of this nature since May, he said.“What consumers need to know is that they’re not going to get calls from the Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services, HHS, Obamacare, asking them to divulge sensitive personal information, like a Social Security number, like bank account numbers, like date of birth,” Breyault said.

So, we have another committee now under Obamacare, made up of 16 non-government experts in medical prevention and evidence-based medicine. Like the IPAB, they will review what and when and how often you will be entitled to medical screenings and make recommendations on what can, or can’t, be offered for health coverage. Here are some examples of their limiting work.

In this video, Dr. Stewart Spitzer shares his thoughts on ObamaCare and it's effect on Americans:

Putin to Obama: "God created us equal!"

A Plea for Caution From Russia
What Putin Has to Say to Americans About Syria
By VLADIMIR V. PUTIN
Published: September 11, 2013
My working and personal relationship with President Obama is marked by growing trust. I appreciate this. I carefully studied his address to the nation on Tuesday. And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.” It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. There are big countries and small countries, rich and poor, those with long democratic traditions and those still finding their way to democracy. Their policies differ, too. We are all different, but when we ask for the Lord’s blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal

This coming from the leader of a communist nation? Hmm!

America responds:
  • Say what you will about the Russians and Mr. Putin in particular. This reaching out is unprecedented. Surly our country and our leaders cannot ignore this gesture from the Russian government. We, at the very least, should meet this offer in sincerity and in the hope, that something good and lasting will come of the discussions between our two nations. The stakes are far too high to let this moment over take either one of our nations. Put aside mistrust and bad feeling for the moment, and try find and do something positive for the world. The killing needs to stop. We really can live in peace with each other if only we would really try.
  • Well written. I appreciate hearing Putin's thoughts directly, and hopefully his open letter to the US can be reciprocated, allowing Obama to directly address the Russian people on important topics. Putin's claim that the originators of the gas attack likely were Syrian rebels requires the same evidence of proof as Obama's claim the attack was made by the Syrian government. "Trust me, I know" isn't sufficient. However, if he is right, that may increase the chance of US military action, because if the Syrian government has lost control of their enormous chemical weapons stockpile that arguably is a direct threat to US national security.
  • I find it particularly funny almost, the way he admonishes the world. We know he is providing aid to the Syrian government, probably both militarily and financially. He speaks of the U.N. and its great "leverage" but fails to mention he is the one causing it to go down the path of the league of nations by using what was supposed to be a emergency veto option multiple times, actually every time a Syrian resolution comes up. He loosely tries to convince that there is some reason to believe the rebels were responsible when every single piece of evidence points to Assad, including a U.N. committees report that the regime is behind 8 chemical weapons attacks while the rebels are behind one.
  • As much as I disagree with President Putin, I'll admit that he has a much clearer message than Obama. I wish that Obama would show a little more leadership. I get the impression that he really has no idea what he's doing when it comes to foreign policy and is just making it up as he goes. It's pretty worrisome when the public starts to trust Putin more than the US President.
  • Finally a powerful foreign leader has the guts to point out the hubris of a country that constantly not only calls itself 'exceptional', but is populated by a majority never having set foot in another country in their life considering it 'the greatest country in the world'.
  • I wish I could feel that Mr. Putin was being sincere here. If nothing else, he has a fabulous writer. But at my age, having grown up during the Cold War and witnessed all sorts of tricks, lies, distortions, and manipulations by the old Soviet Regime, I just have some doubts. As an ex-KBG agent, Mr. Putin may not be my age, but he was trained in the old Soviet culture. I think the main thing that really strikes me here is how myopic the US can be to its image around the world. We pay lip service to the idea that certain actions will "surely win us more enmity around the world," but we usually go on our merry way trying to get our way.
  • Quite possibly, Putin's intended audience is not the American people, but the citizens of the rest of the world. He wants to be their hero -- standing up to the US, pointing out our hypocrisy. I don't trust Putin, but I think he is exploiting a weakness that the US needs to correct, namely, that we are far too mired in self-delusional, campaign-style spin -- even on the international stage, e.g. that we'd be welcomed as liberators in Iraq, that President Obama's Syria strategy was a high-level chess game and played out exactly the way he planned.
  • I am amazed that this op-ed would be generating such positive responses. How dare the leader of Russia, who's human rights record leaves much to be desired, have the nerve to lecture the United States and the American people about moral standards. Under Putin's leadership, civil liberties and the right to voice opposition to the government are the worst since Russia became a democracy. This is who everyone is praising? I don't really see what difference it makes who launched the attack.
