Tadmor prison in Syria "The Cell of Survival"!

Tadmor prison is located in Tadmur in the deserts of eastern Syria approximately 200 kilometers northeast of Damascus. The structures were originally built as military barracks by the French Mandate forces. Amal Hanano calls it "The Cell of Survival". His story begins on March 5th, 1984, an ordinary Damascus morning. He was on route to university, where he was a second year electrical engineer student. He would disappear for the next twelve years, touring the depths of Assad’s dungeons, in Hama, Tadmor, and Sayd Naya. Bara Sarraj was twenty-one years old. He is still haunted by the sounds: creaking doors, rattling keys, gunshots, the dreaded shuffling of heavy feet in the corridor, the sound of torture, the sound of screams. Tadmor, was “the symphony of fear.” His account describes the tools of torture in detail like, the dreaded dulaab, a car tire used to fold the prisoners’ bodies into human contortions while suffering intense beatings with the kirbaaj, a one meter long rubber belt, embedded with metal pieces, used for fixing tank wheels, that dug into their flesh and scarred their bodies, or the technique of hanging prisoners from their wrists for hours, or beatings while being forced to write their confessions of treason against the country, or the falqa, the continuous whipping of the soles of their feet. After enduring a falqa session, they would hop on their damaged feet to combat the swelling...

HealthCare.gov (ObamaCare) Days One & Two!

Visit HealthCare.gov and this is the greeting you receive, hour after hour....

Sadly, the joke is on those who thought they were getting 'free' healthcare. The reality (which was crystal clear several years ago) is that this beast is going to become increasingly expensive while offering less and less service to those who desperately need it. Lesson: This is what happens when government takes control of things. Let the private sector offer and compete for lower prices like they do for most everything else. ObamaCare is not fixing healthcare, it is only spreading the cost around which will eventually collapse the system. If they can't get a simple website to function properly then why would anybody think the rest of the process will be any easier. These are the adults we have in charge!

Here is another greeting you may receive:

Don't bother waiting, unless you have a LOT of time on your hands. According to the HealthCare.gov Facebook page, countless people are experiencing the same dilemma:
  • Can't create an account because the Security Questions fields are not populated. Let me know when your site is ACTUALLY ready.
  • Worst website ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Takes 20 minutes just to get forwarded to your log in page & then there are no security questions in your drop down box!!!So it takes you all the way back to the first page to start all over again
  • Website doesn't work. Tried the 800 number twice, was told 30 minutes wait time...hung up on me after 25 minutes...TWICE!!!
  • This from a clueless individual: I am very glad to be patient for HealthCare folks to fix the glitches. I am proud to wait for such an incredible program that will allow me to have health care. Thank you to the people who are working to make my dream a reality!
What is truly sad is the amount of U.S. taxpayer dollars that were funneled into a program that doesn't even work!

***So what will Obamacare cost Americans on the West Coast?***

Despite Record Taxation Through August, Deficit Still Inching Towards a Trillion!

The federal government raked in a record of approximately $2,472,542,000,000 in tax revenues through the first eleven months of fiscal 2013, which ran from Oct. 1, 2012 through the end of August, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement for August.

America responds:
  • So liberals, are you still going to tell me the Federal government has a revenue problem?
  • Record taxes collected . . . and it's still not enough. It's never enough, and it'll never be enough. In 200+ years, we've morphed from limited, constitutional government into the very definition of a bottomless pit.
  • It's called massive government bloat and waste. Comically tax receipts have been down during the tenure of leftist clown Obama...not because tax rates are down, but because his economic policies are anathema to growth. If we reached close to full employment with the old Bush tax rates you'd see what we saw in 2007 - high tax receipts and less people on the dole sucking dollars out of the government.
  • NSA, DOE, FDA, EPA, IRS, DEA, CIA, FBI, DEP, NPS, TSA, DHS, CIA, DOJ, DNR, USDA, DOT, NFS, ATF, USPP, etc., (and growing) federal agencies (each now with their own SWAT Team) becoming predatory towards it's citizens, that produce nothing and generate no revenue but require massive funding from a dwindling, overtaxed private citizen work force.
  • Just wait until they tack on 3 or 4 months of extraordinary measures the fed is supposedly using to fund the beast of government. For the debt has not increased the last couple of months as they are waiting on congress to increase the debt limit - it's kind of amazing this story does not mention this fact. Otherwise, with one month remaining in fiscal year nearly 900-950 billion is likely annual deficit!
  • I wonder how many hard-working people get ANGRY when they write that check every April 15th. Are we that dumb? Are freedom and the proper role of government unknown to us? Is slavery the new norm, fine if we're not beaten or chained?
Surely the revolution would start if just 10% stopped writing those checks. Imagine 12 million people finally saying enough is enough. We might one day be worthy of this country we inherited!
  • We are headed for the Marie Antoinette paradox - when so much money is in the hands of so few people that it becomes meaningless to the rest. That one did not end well.
  • It doesn't take a genius to realize that with Obama care, entitlements, and flooding the nation with overwhelming poverty from south of the border, no economic production because millions have just given up and most of the middle class is working part time, the government will have to tax everything it can think of; including the air we breath.
  • 1. Arrest NWO Banksters
    2. Arrest Minions in Federal Government who work for Banksters.
    3. Eliminate Federal Reserve and Central Bank
    4. Eliminate IRS (Henchmen for the Federal Reserve)
    5. Eliminate Welfare and all other Government hand out programs.
    6. Restore Constitution
  •  4.6%, 5%, 3.8%, and add 2% inflation = 15.4% decrease in savings and purchasing by We the People. $755 Billion borrowed to be paid back by We the People. $2,472,542,000,000: Tax collected Through August; Deficit $755B, A Record screwing of the American People.

Navy Yard Shooting in Washington [Raw Footage]!

At least one shooter was killed by law enforcement officials two hours after the rampage began, the Los
Angeles Times reported, citing "senior law enforcement officials."

CNN, citing Navy officials, said two shooters were "down," but it was not clear whether that meant they had been shot or were in custody.

The Navy said in a statement the shooting took place at the heavily guarded headquarters, where about 3,000 people work.

Abortion Clinics Closing at Record Rate!

The reasons given for the upswing in closings are varied even among pro-lifers. They include:
-- the increasing state regulation and oversight of clinics;
-- a growth in pro-life opinion and activity, and
-- a significant decline in the abortion rate.
In some cases, clinics have shut down when abortion doctors retired or were no longer licensed.

America responds:
  • Planned Parenthood is a messy business and, as stated by others here, may be attracting too much attention, is too easily targeted. Nevertheless, hundreds of millions in profits and government subsidies and quid pro quo political funding are in play, the poser president expresses personal affection for this outfit and its killing: it will continue in a less targetable fashion.
  • The disappearance of abortion clinics may compel individuals to become more circumspect about their behavior. If the emphasis was upon abstinence education rather than how to deal with unwanted pregnancy, the question of abortion would be irrelevant. Until folks are ready to take full responsibility for the consequences, some abortions will be necessary. A girl should never be compelled to bear a child she never wanted, but was violated into conceiving. A woman should not have to bear a child if her own life is at stake. For those who feel we should teach abstinence and still have no abortion under any circumstances because one of those aborted babies might have become a doctor or a farmer, I ask the question "What if those babies had never been conceived at all due to the practice of abstinence? Would we not still be short a doctor or a farmer or two?"
  • I am pro-life meaning I am pro-baby and I am pro-mommy and I am pro-daddy. While abortion clinic demise is good news I wonder what this really means to pro-lifers, you know, the ones like me who are pro-all life. So, now more babies can be born into poverty, born into extremely dysfunctional domestic situations, and more single moms can be looked down upon by Christians in their million dollar palaces (sometimes called churches, or ministry centers, etc). So, Church, Body of Christ, Fellow Believers, how about we start offering some viable solutions to these issues? How about instead of building a million dollar gymnasium or a new sparkling hi-tech fellowship hall, how about we build homes for moms with babies they didn't abort? How about we help feed them, clothe them, invest in them personally. I don't mean giving a donation bag of items to a crisis pregnancy center. I mean how about inviting these moms with their babies/children into our lives to see the love of Jesus?
  • I have often asked those who support abortion to tell me at what stage the "embryo" "becomes" a human being. I'm still awaiting a sensible answer! From the instant that the male sperm pierces the female egg, and the first mitosis, we have a human being - albeit at its earliest stage of development. What is certain is that, if left to grow, it cannot possibly become anything else! It is often said that when the USoA catches cold, the UK sneezes. I hope and pray that this trend will soon be observed on this side of 'the pond' also. Blessings, and shalom.

The ObamaCare Nightmare!

"You know, doctors are people, and we're being hammered on all sides here. It's the paperwork; it's insurance; it's transitioning to electronic medical records, so the government can get their mitts into your practice. It's lawsuits; it's rising overhead and decreasing compensation; it's stress upon stress upon stress. And a lot of doctors are going to say, 'Forget it. I don't want to do this anymore.' Guys that are 5 or 10 years older than me are just going to give up and walk away."

“We’re seeing a significant number of scams because of Obamacare,” said John Breyault, vice president of public policy for the NCL. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has received more than 1,100 complaints of this nature since May, he said.“What consumers need to know is that they’re not going to get calls from the Center for Medicaid & Medicare Services, HHS, Obamacare, asking them to divulge sensitive personal information, like a Social Security number, like bank account numbers, like date of birth,” Breyault said.

So, we have another committee now under Obamacare, made up of 16 non-government experts in medical prevention and evidence-based medicine. Like the IPAB, they will review what and when and how often you will be entitled to medical screenings and make recommendations on what can, or can’t, be offered for health coverage. Here are some examples of their limiting work.

Putin to Obama: "God created us equal!"

A Plea for Caution From Russia
What Putin Has to Say to Americans About Syria
By VLADIMIR V. PUTIN
Published: September 11, 2013
My working and personal relationship with President Obama is marked by growing trust. I appreciate this. I carefully studied his address to the nation on Tuesday. And I would rather disagree with a case he made on American exceptionalism, stating that the United States’ policy is “what makes America different. It’s what makes us exceptional.” It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation. There are big countries and small countries, rich and poor, those with long democratic traditions and those still finding their way to democracy. Their policies differ, too. We are all different, but when we ask for the Lord’s blessings, we must not forget that God created us equal

This coming from the leader of a communist nation? Hmm!

America responds:
  • Say what you will about the Russians and Mr. Putin in particular. This reaching out is unprecedented. Surly our country and our leaders cannot ignore this gesture from the Russian government. We, at the very least, should meet this offer in sincerity and in the hope, that something good and lasting will come of the discussions between our two nations. The stakes are far too high to let this moment over take either one of our nations. Put aside mistrust and bad feeling for the moment, and try find and do something positive for the world. The killing needs to stop. We really can live in peace with each other if only we would really try.
  • Well written. I appreciate hearing Putin's thoughts directly, and hopefully his open letter to the US can be reciprocated, allowing Obama to directly address the Russian people on important topics. Putin's claim that the originators of the gas attack likely were Syrian rebels requires the same evidence of proof as Obama's claim the attack was made by the Syrian government. "Trust me, I know" isn't sufficient. However, if he is right, that may increase the chance of US military action, because if the Syrian government has lost control of their enormous chemical weapons stockpile that arguably is a direct threat to US national security.
  • I find it particularly funny almost, the way he admonishes the world. We know he is providing aid to the Syrian government, probably both militarily and financially. He speaks of the U.N. and its great "leverage" but fails to mention he is the one causing it to go down the path of the league of nations by using what was supposed to be a emergency veto option multiple times, actually every time a Syrian resolution comes up. He loosely tries to convince that there is some reason to believe the rebels were responsible when every single piece of evidence points to Assad, including a U.N. committees report that the regime is behind 8 chemical weapons attacks while the rebels are behind one.
  • As much as I disagree with President Putin, I'll admit that he has a much clearer message than Obama. I wish that Obama would show a little more leadership. I get the impression that he really has no idea what he's doing when it comes to foreign policy and is just making it up as he goes. It's pretty worrisome when the public starts to trust Putin more than the US President.
  • Finally a powerful foreign leader has the guts to point out the hubris of a country that constantly not only calls itself 'exceptional', but is populated by a majority never having set foot in another country in their life considering it 'the greatest country in the world'.
  • I wish I could feel that Mr. Putin was being sincere here. If nothing else, he has a fabulous writer. But at my age, having grown up during the Cold War and witnessed all sorts of tricks, lies, distortions, and manipulations by the old Soviet Regime, I just have some doubts. As an ex-KBG agent, Mr. Putin may not be my age, but he was trained in the old Soviet culture. I think the main thing that really strikes me here is how myopic the US can be to its image around the world. We pay lip service to the idea that certain actions will "surely win us more enmity around the world," but we usually go on our merry way trying to get our way.
  • Quite possibly, Putin's intended audience is not the American people, but the citizens of the rest of the world. He wants to be their hero -- standing up to the US, pointing out our hypocrisy. I don't trust Putin, but I think he is exploiting a weakness that the US needs to correct, namely, that we are far too mired in self-delusional, campaign-style spin -- even on the international stage, e.g. that we'd be welcomed as liberators in Iraq, that President Obama's Syria strategy was a high-level chess game and played out exactly the way he planned.
  • I am amazed that this op-ed would be generating such positive responses. How dare the leader of Russia, who's human rights record leaves much to be desired, have the nerve to lecture the United States and the American people about moral standards. Under Putin's leadership, civil liberties and the right to voice opposition to the government are the worst since Russia became a democracy. This is who everyone is praising? I don't really see what difference it makes who launched the attack.

McDonald's: No super size wages for the uneducated!

About 500 people, including workers, activists, religious leaders, news crews and local politicians, gathered outside the McDonald's on Fifth Avenue. The protesters chanted "Si Se Puede" ("Yes, We Can") and "Hey, hey, ho, ho $7.25 has got to go," holding signs saying "On Strike: Can't Survive on $7.25," referring to the federal minimum wage.

Protesters shared their sentiments:

  • "They don't seem to care, it's horrible how they manage us, how they talk to us, how they treat us. They don't respect us as human."
  • "This is our fourth strike in New York, and now we have 50 cities striking with us, I'm ready for a change."
  • "Si Se Puede" ("Yes, We Can") and "Hey, hey, ho, ho $7.25 has got to go."

America also shared theirs:

  • The entire country should just ignore this strike of obnoxious irrational brats until they grow up and get back to work or quit so someone that appreciates an honest job for an honest wage takes their place.
  • Thanks for reminding me! I will be stopping by a McDonald's today and grabbing a bite on my way home from my 40-mile commute for a part-time job that pays a little more than these dudes are making.
  • African Americans just are OBLIVIOUS to the fact that Obama's Party gains strength by ENCOURAGING people to slide into WELFARE (Today's Plantation) and remain there indefinitely. There is no self pride, no personal success. Just live in the shadows of POVERTY.
  • Fast food is not a living wage.  It never was and it never will be.  The skill set here is the lowest of the low.  The turnover the highest of the high.
  •  Let's all reward mediocrity so that we can all strive to be fast-food workers. Why become a doctor or lawyer when you can support your family on a mediocre job like McDs? Why go to school to learn Physics and Math when all you need to know is how to drop a basket of fries into some oil and flip a burger over until it is done?
  • Let me add that, until you can make change in your head, without a computer, and take an order without using buttons with little pictures of food, you are not going to be paid anymore than minimum wage and are lucky to have any job at all.  Have any of you ever seen the look of total befuddlement on one of these minimum wage workers when your bill comes to $15.78 and you hand them a $20 bill and 3 pennies?  Enough said.
  • I actually sympathize with them, but they're taking their anger out on the wrong people.  They should be protesting at the White House.  It's the Obama Administration that hss focused on the high tech companies and done its best to strangle everything else off.  It is the Obama Administration that has ruined the chances of people starting off in fast food to be able to survive because during their watch the prices for commodities like gasoline and basic foodstuffs have risen faster than inflation.  It's the Obama Administration that is forcing these protests, and it's the Obama Administration that knows it.
  • This is pathetic, I had a job like this when I was young and moved on, I did not expect to be more than that.  How this idiots want to make as much a entry level nurse assistant that went to school and and has your life in your hand?  THis is really getting me angry.  Yes you should get a raise maybe 8 to 8.50 but then if you wish to have a carreer in this filed go up the ranks, make manager, distric manager, etc.  This job is not for the 27 year old woman, or the guy that spent 70 dollars for an original team cap!
  • You shouldn't have a minimum wage job if you have a family. Or to put it another way, you shouldn't have a family if you have a minimum wage job. No employer has to pay you a "living wage" in order for you to consume oxygen and occupy space. A minimum wage is a starting wage and the idea is you improve yourself through experience and education so you can deliver some value to an employer. No one should ever aspire to make only the minimum wage. Stay in school, don't have kids, work hard and improve yourself, that is the way it works. Do these McDonald's employees think that they should be paid $15 an hour so they can make a lifetime career dispensing shakes, fries and burgers? Nobody owes anybody a living, if you don't like the system then try to start your own business.
  • Excellent!  If you are over 25 and making minimum wage YOU ARE A FAILURE! If you have children and no marketable skills YOU ARE A FAILURE and have FAILED your kids. If you have been in a job making minimum wage fro mor ethan a year YOU ARE A FAILURE!
That kinda says it all!

The National Race to Defund ObamaCare!

On October 1st, millions of Americans will be required to enroll in Obamacare and could lose access to their doctors and be forced to pay higher premiums and higher taxes. But there's still time to stop it. Republicans in Congress can stop Obamacare if they refuse to fund it.

The following salient videos discussing the defunding of ObamaCare were posted at random on YouTube, August 28, 2013:

Defund Obamacare Town Hall Wilmington NC
Amazing turnout of engaged citizens from both sides of the isle! Obamacare with have serious negative impacts for all and it doesn't matter if you're Democrat, Republican, man, woman, black, white or purple. The cost of care is already skyrocketing, the quality and timeliness of care will plummet.

Drones over Chicago schools?

Chicago alderman George Cardenas is proposing the city use drones to buzz through the skies as part of an effort to keep students safe while walking to school. "We could use the help.! Why not use drones in safe passage.?? There is no doubt technology is migrating from military use. ... It's going to take time to find those uses in an urban environment. It is, however, the future and I think people will want to take that leap. I think eventually we’re going to have to look at this technology."

Here's what ordinary citizens think of the idea:
  • Drones could be used to follow Chicago's aldermen around to see if they are doing their job.
  • Interesting how there's willingness to spend on anything BUT schools.
  • Elect the arrogant apostles of secular socialism and you get what they dish...democrats care about nothing but $$$ to run again and power over people...their toxic policies naturally rot a nation, state or city...see Detroit after 40 years of democrat monster gov-meant/hi taxes/debt and so on....
  • Yet another policing and physical capital solution. The only way to keep kids safe is through human and moral capital development. This is on tough work. Why aren't political leaders talking about work force development?
  • Ok, lets cut music, art, libraries and all forms of enrichment out of the schools along with PE, but the city will be able to fly drones over the city at $75 an hour? CPD has trouble identifying suspects in neighborhoods so now they will have video? Oh yes, Cardenas probably has a relative or friend that has a company that could supply the drones to CPS / CPD, if he isn't an investor.
  • Apparently this guy didn't get the memo that Chicago is F'ing bankrupt.
  • Hey alderman. Why don't you walk with the kids to make sure they are safe? You know, be one of Michelle's walking 'school buses'.
  • Drones? How about imposing discipline at schools and requiring parents to be more attentive to their kids. How stupid can this man gets. Everything to the government including the obligations of parents to watch their kids.
  • Alderman, we already have enough protection for our kids if we'd use it. It's called mothers and fathers.
  • ...or you could let your citizens have the right to be armed and take care of the street punks themselves!
  • What is a drone supposed to do? Catch a bullet?
  • Lunacy, but it is Chicago. What exactly are the drones suppose to do after the fact? Shoot a hell fire missile and do more collateral damage Utter refusal to face the real problem and it is not panacea of the the left, more gun control.
  • There is no expectation of privacy on public property, so anyone caught violating ordinance, or statute on a drone's camera is in legal jeopardy, be they child, adult, or cop!
  • How about having some real programs to educate young black men, help them find meaningful employment and get them out of gangs?
  • The solution is always pour "more money" into a dysfunctional school system, right? If You want to see kids' education improve, let parents take their education money to whichever schools they choose, public or private. Competition is an effective method for weeding out schools that can't perform adequately. The days of bloated government telling people where and how to educate their children need to come to an end! Power to the people! That's the kind of hope and change we need.

Responses to Obama comparing MLK to Jesus!

"When you are talking about Dr. King's speech at the March on Washington, you're talking about one of the maybe five greatest speeches in American history," Obama said recently on the Tom Joyner Morning Show. "And the words that he spoke at that particular moment, with so much at stake, and the way in which he captured the hopes and dreams of an entire generation, I think, is unmatched." DeWayne Wickham from the USA TODAY said he overheard Obama say to someone standing nearby: "Man, can you believe they have me speaking tomorrow, 50 years to the day of the greatest speech ever given. That's like following Jesus."
Even Google got in the mix!

A few average Americans spoke their mind in response:
  • I don't think Jesus committed adultery like MLK did..
  • If Jesus did a doctoral dissertation I don't think he would plagiarize like MLK did.
  • Except for the adultery (King) and the Ressurection (Jesus)...maybe some more differences if you think about it,but those two make a pretty big difference. Reminds me of Obama's expertise on history and geography...
  • Dr. King asked US to judge men by their character, and not their color - so the mess we are in today is because we are.............
  • I HAVE A DREAM that one day people of ALL races religions and creeds will set aside the burdens of old injustices, and recognize that vengeance is the Lords.
  • I HAVE A DREAM that people who have been oppressed in the past will recognize that petitioning the government and it's leaders for retribution in the form of government services, only leads to bondage and slavery to that same government.
  • I HAVE A DREAM that one day we all REALLY will not judge each other by the color of our skin, but by the nature of OUR CHARACTER, and I pray that ALL people will be given the ability to discern good character from bad.
  • Funny, MLK was supposedly a ' Reverend ' but he never proclaimed the Gospel, never focused on his people's Salvation and things above but rather on the mundane. Nobody quotes a sermon of his where he moved people to trust Christ. I guess black ' Reverends' like MLK, Jesse J and Al Sharpton dont even need to be actual Christians or even preachers - just activists.
  • I AM FURIOUS that IT said that. DO NOT COMPARE JESUS TO ANYONE! Seems funny that some forget what King was really up to and did.
  • The "Peace Prize Winner" is ready to start his SECOND war.

ObamaCare Premiums from 2009 to the present day!

According to an article in the Investors Business Daily, "The average employer-provided family health
insurance premiums have climbed $2,976 since 2009, according to an annual Kaiser Family Foundation survey released this week. They're up $3,671 compared with the year before President Obama took office. That's despite Obama's repeated promises that the health care reform law he championed would cut premiums by $2,500 in his first term."

You have to love a few of the comments which followed:
  • You think ObamaCare is good now, wait til it's free!
  • It could also usher in an era of you selling your neighbors eggs and home made soap from little red wagons.
  • My son's health care insurance for him, his wife and 5 kids just increased $2,400 a year. That's a $200 a month jump over what he was paying.
  • I have notice substantial increases to my costs, as well. I was fortunate enough to earn a hefty raise, but with rising prices, healthcare costs, and other increases in cost of living my raise is hardly noticeable. Any experts talking about a recovery are living in fantasy land. A single meal at a fast food burger joint costs $7 - $10 if you don't order off a value menu. Grocery prices are way up. Retailers are starting Christmas promotions in August.
  • It's cheaper to go without health insurance now, thanks Obama, you gunky!
  • I actually heard the President say yesterday that he "saved the auto industry, fixed a broken healthcare system, and reversed America's dependence on foreign oil". He said this with a straight face.
  • Elections have $$$$$$ consequences. HOPE everybody who voted for the charlatan and his cohort dems are happy now.
  • My premium increased 229% over last year's premium! Blue Cross and Blue Shield of California.
  • Nobody owes you anything...it wouldn't fix what ails the "black community" anyway....you can thank LBJ for the "Great Society/War on Poverty" politics that began the destruction of the black family...
  • Racism is EVERYWHERE in this country. Especially against our president who people think everything his fault because he is African American.
That last one takes the cake. Was everything George Bush's fault because he was white? Please! President Obama was elected for TWO terms by a majority of the voting electorate. America has herself to blame by not holding their elected officials accountable for the promises they committed to. The race card is simply a diversion tactic used to avoid responsible, solution based behavior. Statistics are clear that our present reform is not working. Let's encourage our representatives to fix it before it becomes unrepairable!

President Obama dissed at Amazon in Chattanooga!

President Obama,

Welcome to Chattanooga, one of hundreds of cities throughout this great nation struggling to succeed in spite of your foolish policies that limit job creation, stifle economic growth and suffocate the entrepreneurial spirit. Forgive us if you are not greeted with the same level of Southern hospitality that our area usually bestows on its distinguished guests. You see, we understand you are in town to share your umpteenth different job creation plan during your time in office. If it works as well as your other job creation programs, then thanks, but no thanks. We’d prefer you keep it to yourself. That’s because your jobs creation plans so far have included a ridiculous government spending spree and punitive tax increase on job creators that were passed, as well as a minimum wage increase that, thankfully, was not. Economists — and regular folks with a basic understanding of math — understand that these are three of the most damaging policies imaginable when a country is mired in unemployment and starving for job growth.....Full article: http://www.timesfreepress.com/news/2013/jul/30/take-your-jobs-plan-and-shove-it-mr-president-your/?opinionfreepress

Rush Limbaugh on Greta Van Susteren "On the Record" 7-30-2013!

Rush Limbaugh joined Greta Van Susteren for the full hour Tuesday night, and Limbaugh spent the first segment of the program bashing President Obama, sharing the "Limbaugh Theorem" (foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record) for how the president governs, and taking the "slavish media" to task for not holding him accountable. He also had some choice words for Republicans capitulating too much to the Democratic agenda. FOR MORE foxnews.com/on-air/on-the-record
On the "phony scandals" controversy, Limbaugh admitted he was stunned that the president was able to survive 2012 with the bad economy on his back. He came up with the "Limbaugh theorem" to explain why so many people hate Obama's policies yet like him and vote for him: he's "constantly campaigning" and never governing who keeps insisting nothing that ever happens in Washington is his fault. Limbaugh surmised that Obama could only get away with this because of the "slavish media" that will never call him out on anything. He said that most journalists are "all part of the elitist New York-Washington-Boston media academic corridor and they think they are Obama." He admitted the 2010 midterms, while it resulted in Republican gains, were not necessarily that good for the party, because no one was "articulating an agenda" and all the Republican votes were "anti-Obama" votes, not votes for a viable alternative. He also slammed Republican leadership for brushing aside the tea party and "its conservative base on a number of issues," saying the big problem with the GOP is too much capitulation to what the Democrats want. Why doesn't the Republican Party embrace them, bring them in and try to grow and have at least come up with a way to reach out and attach themselves to these people, a majority of voters? Instead they're capitulating with what the Democrats want. And not just on this, but on immigration, amnesty, whatever you want to call it.

Teresa Heinz Kerry: "Shove it"!

Teresa Heinz Kerry speaking to Pennsylvania delegates of the 2004 Democratic National Convention at the Massachusetts Statehouse on Monday, July 26, 2004, first day of the convention: "We need to turn back some of the creeping, un-Pennsylvanian, and sometimes un-American traits that are coming into some of our politics."
After the speech she was questioned by reporter Colin McNickle of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "...did you mean by un-American?... You mentioned 'un-American'..."
Heinz Kerry: "No, I didn't say that."
McNickle: "What did you mean?"
Heinz Kerry: "I didn't say that."
Kerry campaign aide: "We're not doing questions here."
Heinz Kerry: "I didn't say that."
McNickle: "I'm just asking what you said."
Heinz Kerry: "Why do you put those words in my mouth?"
McNickle: "You said something about un-American..."
Heinz Kerry, interrupting: "No, I didn't say that."
McNickle, continuing: "...activity."
Heinz Kerry: "I did not say 'activity' or 'un-American.' "
Campaign aide: "We're not..."
Heinz Kerry: "Those are your words. You can record it and listen to it."
Heinz Kerry, speaking to someone else: "You know what the question is? He said that I called this an un-American activity. I did not."
Heinz Kerry, speaking again to McNickle: "Are you with the Tribune-Review?"
McNickle: "Yes, I am."
Heinz Kerry: "Of course."
McNickle: "C'mere."
Heinz Kerry: "Understandable. You said something I didn't say. Now shove it."

Hilarious responses to the 2013 BLS April jobs report!

Headline: US employers added 165K jobs in April, lowering unemployment rate to 4-year low of 7.5 pct. The following are responses posted that were posted on Yahoo in response to the article:

-When bush was in office, I swear they would quote 400,000 as a healthy number. Now 165k is good.

-More Obama propaganda. Just look at Main Street and how your Neighbors are doing

-I was thinking we suggest to the government that they just simply eliminate ALL unemployed from counting in the report and that way we could get some really awesome numbers! The market would just love that.

-Just wondering if anyone else noticed that there was a fire at the Department Of Labor? Smells like someone is covering up their tracks...

-Big news is the fire that probably destroyed many records?????

-Over 500,000 "dropped out of the workforce" yet the unemployment rate went down. If you or I ran a business like the Government did, we'd be doing time for fraud and corruption.

-Thank you walmart and fast food joints. Im sure we will continue to watch growth in the food stamp and welfare department. Hows your morning Kool aid taste this morning crats? grape or strawBarry?

-Just think, if a few more of you had voted for McCain/Palin instead of the most Anti-Capitalist, Anti-Private Sector 'president' in History, we would have been well on our way to a prosperous recovery!

-Fire? Were they burning the true numbers?

-That doesnt even keep up with people of working age joining the market so like all these reports its total #$%$ and means more people dropped out of the workforce.

-Reports like these just go to show how out-of-touch the people who report these numbers are. Every economist predicted the rate staying at 7.6 and adding low 100's. Either every economist in America is wrong, or the BLS is producing these numbers with "magic".

-If Romney was our president now, unemployment would be at 2%. He should run again and save this country.

-Meanwhile, Obama is trying to grow the economy in Mexico, and import a few more million foreigners to take your jobs. Worst President EVER!

-Terrific. More jobs created that will require food stamp assistance

-In other news, suicide rates among the middle class highest ever...
Fewest in labor market in decades.
Highest number ever on disability
Record number food stamps
Food bank shelves empty
etc. etc.

-If you don't like the numbers you're getting, change the way you calculate them. It's the Alinsky way.

-Sweet! I am going to crack open that box of wine and celebrate! Its the roaring 20's again folks, lets rejoice!

-Why don't people believe the fact that baby boomers are retiring and it is messing with old norm numbers. Of course the participation rate is going to be messed with when an extra 80,000 people retire a month. Just look at the numbers swelling on S/S and it is obvious to all that understand the dynamics of removing that kind of number from the workforce.

The right to murder?

In the news yesterday I heard about the murder trial of the Philadelphia abortion doctor accused of killing babies in a clinic that mainly serves low-income women. This left me wandering in thought. Those who are pro-life certainly value the concept of choice. They however, make preparations concerning pregnancy before conception, by choice. They would argue that this is the morally responsible thing to do. Those who claim to be pro-choice claim the right to make this decision after conception regardless of the eventual fate of the fetus, possibly terminating a life. They argue that the rights of the individual trump those of the unborn fetus.

Here's the rub as I perceive it: How ever one chooses to define it, a life has been created upon conception. This life should be defined as a human being if only for the fact that it will not alter it's design in the womb and become something else. It has a genetic code and was designed to become a human being. Moreover it is unique in all creation in that it possesses a soul and personhood from day one. I am certain of this for at least two reasons. One, nobody can claim or prove the exact moment of personhood other than from conception. Three, six, nine months, which is it? Since nobody knows exactly, benefit of the doubt has to be applied from a moral, physiological and logically consistent standpoint. The second reason concerning our soul comes from the pages of the most read book on the planet. Jeremiah 1:4-5 says: Now the word of the Lord came to me, saying, “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.” This is one among many passages where The Lord assures us that our soul is created at conception and personhood begins in the womb.

Personal morality is one thing, government intrusion is another. Those who choose to live by a moral code of ethics are forced to walk the thin line between personal conviction and the laws of the country they live in. We can do little to change that individually. However, we have every capability to change the hearts and minds of those within our sphere of influence. For the love of God is the most powerful force in the universe. To Him, all life is precious, especially life created in His own image.

Just today President Obama encouraged those gathered at a Planned Parenthood event to continue fighting for abortion rights. "You've also got a president who is going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way," Obama said. It's crystal clear where our current President stands on this issue.

USAT Liberty Wreck Dive Footage!

USAT Liberty was a United States Army transport ship torpedoed by Japanese submarine I-166 in January 1942 and beached on the island of Bali. She had been built as a design 1037 ship for the United States Shipping Board during World War I and had served in the United States Navy during that conflict as animal transport USS Liberty (ID-3461). She was also notable as the first ship constructed at Federal Shipbuilding, Kearny, New Jersey. In 1963 a volcanic eruption moved the ship off the beach, and Liberty's wreck is now a popular dive site.

Onboard Air Force One!

Air Force One: It is America's plane, a national icon and the most secure aircraft in the world. Now, journey aboard, as the members of the Presidential Airlift Group fly this specially modified 747 in a time of global uncertainty, following September 11th, 2001. The events of 9/11 thrust Air Force One's crew into a day of terror that none could have predicted. Crewmembers stationed at every corner of the jet recall the urgency of shepherding the President on an emergency flight over America's heartland. Seven years later, preparations are now underway for a diplomatic mission of historic significance and scope: an eight-day tour through six countries in the Middle East. This journey summons recollections of another high-stakes mission to the region, one set in the heart of conflict - the President's secret flight into Baghdad, Thanksgiving Day, 2003. Following a steep, corkscrew descent, their landing into Iraq was unannounced and unexpected. Now, each member of the PAG, from maintenance and engineering to the flight crew and presidential security detachment, must be ready for a highly publicized trip.

President Obama: Boston and guns anger management!

President Obama, passively upset responding to the explosions at the Boston Marathon, says the United States does not know "who did this or why" but vowed that whoever is responsible "will feel the full weight of justice." (April 15)
President Obama visibly angry addressed a crowd after a gun bill did not pass in the Senate requiring universal background checks. He said this is only round one and that real change is inevitable. (April 19)

Question: Why does his gun bill passage failure receive a more passionate, emotive response than the recent terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon?
