Imagine you wanted to create in this room the same CO2 emission that all the cars in the whole world belch into the atmosphere during a whole year. How many matches would you need to burn daily, weekly, or in total over the whole year, to inflict on the big room what all the world's "evil" cars are doing to the atmosphere in a year."
Ivar Giaever is a Norwegian-American physicist who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1973. Giaever has repeatedly professed skepticism of global warming, calling it a "new religion."
