Obama Ties Passage of Health Insurance Bill to American 'Decency'

As Democratic fears increase that health insurance reform could slip away with a crucial vote for a new U.S. senator in Massachusetts, President Obama on Sunday used a church pulpit at a Martin Luther King Day service to say the massive health bill would be a victory for "decency."
This coming Tuesday, Massachusetts will hold a special election to fill the seat of the late Sen. Ted Kennedy. With Polls showing the senate race narrowing Pres. Obama was in Boston Sunday to campaign for Democratic candidate Atty. Gen. Martha Coakley. Republican Candidate Scott Brown held a rally also on Sunday at Mechanics Hall in Worcester.

I used to listen to Michael Medved daily on KVI in Seattle when I lived there several years ago. He's a very intellegent and well spoken.
