From Al jazeera TV:
Local "critics" say that the Egyptian government is simply not spending enough on healthcare. Those who seek aid through the government's "free" healthcare program are being withheld treatment citing a financial dispute with the health ministry.
Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians are being denied vital health care after a row between the government and the state hospitals. The government is said to owe the hospitals more than $270m - more than half the annual budget. The dispute has triggered allegations of fraud and prompted an investigation. Al Jazeera's Rawya Rageh reports from Cairo, where as long as the bills aren't paid, hospitals are turning patients away.
This is the end result of government run healthcare and exactly what Americans can expect with ObamaCare. But be encoraged by this from the Hill today:
Democratic candidates distance themselves from healthcare reform!
Hardly any Democrat running for Congress seems to want to talk about healthcare.
Of the 26 leading Democratic House candidates contacted by "The Hill", only one would commit to voting for the Senate healthcare bill if and when it comes to the House floor.
