Alright
Alright Republicans, you won last night and won big. There are many reasons for this which can be debated at another time. You had last night to gloat but now it's time to get to work. We need you to remember that with great power comes great responsibility. Understand that many disenfranchised voters did not vote at all last night. This is primarily due to the perceived hopelessness of continued gridlock and broken promises. They don't trust ANY politicians. Fortunate for you, they perhaps unknowingly assisted in facilitating your election. This is your chance to demonstrate that you got the spoken (and unspoken) message the voters sent but also to qualify the reasons why America chose a new direction. Don't blow it!
You have been elected for a specific purpose which you need to sticky note to your forehead as follows: "I will work with my democratic colleagues on Capital Hill to end gridlock and move America forward." We need you to work towards creating a strong economy and a business atmosphere which creates job growth. We need you to reign in spending and eliminate all sorts of fiscal loopholes. Stick to a budget like the rest of Americans are forced to. Lead by example. Unlike the mainstream media during the past six years, at least one major news network, many talk show hosts around the country and most Americans will be holding you accountable. You have been granted two years to do this, so move swiftly or you can kiss the future of your party goodbye.
