How does one obtain true hope and change? I can assure you that the answer is within your grasp and thankfully, costs nothing. Let us first examine and contrast the temporal promises of hope and change made by men.
During the 2008 Presidential campaign, then candidate Barack Obama ran on a platform of hope and change. Apparently life in America was so dreadful that changes needed to be made to achieve any hope of overcoming this oppression. Fast forward to today. Opinions are varied and remarkably polarized within the current US populous on whether America has seen the redemption of this promise. One thing is certain, our government as a whole is accountable for the current state of our economy.
Presently, it seems that the societal fabric of our post Christian society in America continues to change for the worst and the economic hopes of many are dashed to the spending whims of those we elected to represent our best interests. Yet no single man can be blamed for this, for the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4:4)
Rest assured we do not have to wait for the November election for hope and change, we can obtain it today. The good news is that there is a current hope that will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. (Romans 5:5) Unite your life with the presence of the Spirit and change will immediately become evident in your life. The LORD will change your heart and the hearts of all your descendants, so that you will love him with all your heart and soul and so you may live! (Deuteronomy 30:6)
When your heart is filled with love, it drives out anything that previously took up residence. Whatever happens from this point forward, we know that when this earthly tent we live in is taken down (that is, when we die and leave this earthly body), we will have a house in heaven, an eternal body made for us by God himself and not by human hands. (2 Corinthians 5:1) This is the culmination of our ultimate hope, a hope which all the silver and gold in the world cannot purchase.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind and Love your neighbor as yourself. (Luke 10:27) Do this and you will live. God makes this promise to those who humble themselves before Him…….and God always keeps His promises.
Now that’s hope and change!

Milton Friedman: Big Government caused the Great Depression!
Posted at my YouTube page:
Milton Friedman: "The Great Depression didn't arise out of any natural flaw in the system, it wasn't because citizens at that time hadn't been prudent and hadn't saved, for they had. No, the Great Depression was produced by government mismanagement." Social Security was established to provide for 5 percent of the population who cannot take care of themselves. The latest report of the Social Security and Medicare trustees shows an unfunded liability for both programs of $63 trillion. Nationalized health care was also recently instituted to provide for 5 percent of the population who do not have health insurance. About 5 percent of the population is responsible for almost half of all health care spending in the United States. Do you see the insoluble spending trend here?
Milton Friedman (July 31, 1912 -- November 16, 2006) was an American economist, statistician, and author who taught at the University of Chicago for more than three decades. He was a recipient of the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences, and is known for his research on consumption analysis, monetary history and theory, and the complexity of stabilization policy. A survey of economists ranked Friedman as the second most popular economist of the twentieth century behind John Maynard Keynes, and The Economist described him as "the most influential economist of the second half of the 20th century...possibly of all of it."

Paul Ryan: Hiding Spending Doesn't Reduce Spending!
"I will not sign a plan that adds one dime to our deficits -- either now or in the future." (Remarks by President Obama to a Joint Session of Congress, September 9, 2009)This afternoon Budget Committee Ranking Member Ryan walked through why the bill put forward by Democrats FAILS the President's deficit test.--The Majority Leader said the bill scores as reducing deficit by $131 billion over the next 10 years. First a little bit about CBO: I work with them every single day; very good people; great professionals. They do their jobs well. But their job is to score what is placed in front of them. And what has been placed in front of them is a bill that is fill of gimmicks and smoke and mirrors. Now what do I mean when I say that? First off, the bill has ten years of tax increases and ten years of Medicare cuts to pay for six years of spending. The true ten year cost when subsidies kick-in? $2.3 trillion. The bill is full of gimmicks that more than erase the false claim of deficit reduction:- $52 billion of savings is claimed by counting increased Social Security payroll revenues. These dollars are already claimed for future Social Security beneficiaries, and claiming to offset the cost of this bill either means were double-counting or were not going to pay Social Security benefits. - $72 billion in savings is claimed from the CLASS Act long-term care insurance. These so-called savings are not offsets, but rather premiums collected to pay for future benefits. Senate Budget Committee Chairman Kent Conrad has called these savings, A ponzi scheme that would make Bernie Madoff proud.Additionally, the nearly half-trillion dollars in Medicare cuts cannot be counted twice. Medicare is in dire need of reform in order to make certain that we can ensure health security for future seniors. Using Medicare as a piggy bank, it raids a half trillion dollars from retirees health coverage to fund the creation of another open-ended health care entitlement. The Presidents chief Medicare actuary says up to 20% of Medicare providers may go bankrupt or stop taking Medicare beneficiaries as a result. Millions of seniors who have chosen Medicare Advantage will lose the coverage they now enjoy.Objections to the policy aside, you cannot use these savings twice to both extend the life of Medicare and to pay for other spending. The half-trillion dollars in Medicare cuts are either to extend the programs solvency or to reduce the cost of this deficit but not both as its authors claim. When you strip away the double-counting of Medicare cuts, the so-called savings from Social Security payroll taxes and the CLASS Act, the deficit increases by $460 billion over first ten years and $1.4 trillion over second ten years. Finally, one of the most expensive and most cynical of the gimmicks applies to Medicare physician payments, the so-called Doc Fix.By your own estimate, the Doc Fix adds an additional $371 billion to the cost of health care reform. With the price tag beyond what most Americans could handle, the Majority decided to simply remove this costly provision and deal with it in a stand-alone bill.Ignoring this additional cost does not remove it from the backs of taxpayers. Hiding spending doesnt reduce spending.

Obama promises....but rarely delivers!
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Now I've lost count!
Pres. Obama says at a fundraiser for State Senator Creigh Deeds in Virginia that he is ready to take Responsibility for the debt and the economy (August 6, 2009).
President Barack Obama said in February 2009 that his presidency would be "one-term proposition" if the economy did not recover in three years, giving him less than six months from today.
Sen. Barack Obama at a campaign rally in Cedar Rapids, IA called negative ads "game playing' in 2008. (July 31, 2008).
Sen. Barack Obama talked about his plan for energy policy at a campaign event in St. Petersburg, Florida (August 1, 2008).
Are four broken promises enough or do you need more?

Sikh Temple shooting witness reactions - Oak Creek, Wisconsin!
A mass shooting has occurred at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, Wisc., just outside Milwaukee.
At least four people have been reported injured in the mass shooting and no suspect has been identified. Hospitals in the area were told to be ready for up to 20 shooting victims, according to police radio reports.
"An officer arrived and engaged a suspect. That officer was shot multiple times. He is expected to survive," said Brad Wentlandt, the police chief of Greenfield, Wisc., at a hastily-arranged briefing for news media. "The officer exchanged fire with the shooter. That shooter was put down." Some members of the temple are still inside the temple and are hiding, believing that a gunman may still be inside the building.
