9. Trump signed the “Allow States and Victims to Fight Online Sex Trafficking Act” (FOSTA), which includes the “Stop Enabling Sex Traffickers Act” (SESTA) which both give law enforcement and victims new tools to fight sex trafficking.👀👀

10. Trump signed a bill to require airports to provide spaces for breastfeeding Moms.

11. The 25% lowest-paid Americans enjoyed a 4.5% income boost in November 2019, which outpaces a 2.9% gain in earnings for the country's highest-paid workers.

12. Low-wage workers are benefiting from higher minimum wages and from corporations that are increasing entry-level pay.

13. Trump signed the biggest wilderness protection & conservation bill in a decade and designated 375,000 acres as protected land.

Another upcoming accomplishment to add: In the next week or two Trump will be signing the first major anti-robocall law in decades called the TRACED Act (Telephone Robocall Abuse Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence.) Once it’s the law, the TRACED Act will extend the period of time the FCC has to catch & punish those who intentionally break telemarketing restrictions. The bill also requires voice service providers to develop a framework to verify calls are legitimate before they reach your phone.

Fundamentally Transforming America.

A Letter To The Editor:

From 1961 to 1989, the Berlin Wall’s concrete barrier physically and ideologically separated West Berlin from communist East Berlin. The wall formed part of the Iron Curtain that divided the communist Soviet Union from Western Europe during the Cold War. 

 

On Nov. 9, 1989, during the administration of President Ronald Reagan, the wall separating West Germany and East Germany fell. The next few years saw the collapse of several communist regimes in Europe, Central America and Africa. 

 

On Dec. 25, 1991, with the resignation of Mikhail Gorbachev, the Soviet Union was dissolved. The incoming Russian President, Boris Yeltsin, banned the Communist Party and communism soon ended in many other nations.

 

Unfortunately, this evil ideology and system responsible for the deaths of more than 100 million in the 20th century still exists in several miserable states, but the world at large rejoiced at its downfall and is thankful for the answer to its prayers. 

 

 

Yet, by the looks of it, communism is trying to make a comeback. In the 2016 presidential campaign, “Democratic socialist” Sen. Bernie Sanders won about a half-a-million more votes among those under age 30 than the two major-party presidential nominees combined (Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton). 

 

Remember, socialism is socialism, whether it is Democratic or not. Hitler’s Nazis came to power on a socialist platform via the ballot box. The reason we see dictators rise to the surface in strong socialist and communist nations is that it takes this type of individual to impose and enforce such a thieving system on the people.

 

In 2018, two members of the Democratic Socialists of America (the largest socialist organization in the country) — Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY) and Rashida Tlaib (MI) — won prominent and powerful seats in the United States Congress. And just last month, another member of the DSA, Jamaal Bowman of New York, became a congressman.

 

 

The following list of “Communist Goals” was taken from the book, “The Naked Communist,” written by former FBI agent W. Cleon Skousen and published in 1958. The list was read into the Congressional record by A. S. Herlong Jr., Democratic representative from the 4th Congressional District in Florida on Jan. 10, 1963. 

 

Read carefully to note if any these goals have been realized or are close to being achieved.  

 

• Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

 

 

• Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

 

 

• Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under communist attack.

 

 

• Infiltrate the press. 

 

 

• Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.

 

 

• Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. (An American communist cell was told to "eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.")

 

 

• Eliminate all laws of obscenity by calling them "censorship" and a violation of free speech and free press.

 

 

• Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

 

 

• Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as "normal, natural, healthy."

 

 

• Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with "social" religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity which does not need a "religious crutch."

 

 

• Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of "separation of church and state."

 

 

• Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.

 

 

• Discredit the American Founding Fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the "common man."

 

 

• Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of the "big picture." 

 

 

• Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

 

 

• Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

 

 

• Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

 

 

• Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special-interest groups should rise up and use "united force" to solve economic, political or social problems.

 

 

The only way the socialists and the communists can change the United States of America to a system that is so foreign to the nature of man is if they first destroy the moral ground upon which she has stood for centuries and cause us to forget our heritage and blessings from God. 

 

 

 

So far, they have been very successful. Nikita Khrushchev, who served as the premier of the Soviet Union from 1958 to 1964, said, "We cannot expect the Americans to jump from capitalism to communism, but we can feed them small doses of socialism, until they awake to find they have true communism."

 

 

All around us, we see things rapidly changing for the worse.  We hear politicians saying that they want to “fundamentally transform America.” And if some of them get their way, they will change America, and we will never, ever recover.  The only One that can help us now is the God of the Bible, and by going to the polls and electing public servants that uphold the Judeo-Christian values that this country was founded upon.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez: "Rebuild every single building in the U.S."

This morning, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez released an overview of her “Green New Deal” which threatens "a massive transformation of our society."

Below are the details of the proposal. Yes, this will clearly demonstrate the absence of education, wisdom and experience:

Rebuild every single building in the U.S.

“Upgrade or replace every building in US for state-of-the-art energy efficiency.”

Will end all traditional forms of energy in the next ten years.

The Green New Deal is “a 10-year plan to mobilize every aspect of American society at a scale not seen since World War 2 to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions.”

Plans to ban nuclear energy within 10 years if possible.

“It’s unclear if we will be able to decommission every nuclear plant within 10 years, but the plan is to transition off of nuclear and all fossil fuels as soon as possible.”

Build trains across oceans and end all air travel!

“Build out highspeed rail at a scale where air travel stops becoming necessary”.

Don’t invest in new technology of Carbon Capture and Storage, just plant trees instead!

“We believe the right way to capture carbon is to plant trees and restore our natural ecosystems. CCUS technology to date has not proven effective.”

Mandates all new jobs be unionized.

“Ensure that all GND jobs are union jobs that pay prevailing wages and hire local.”

May include a carbon tax.

“We’re not ruling a carbon tax out, but a carbon tax would be a tiny part of a Green New Deal.”

May include cap and trade.

“…Cap and trade may be a tiny part of the larger Green New Deal plan.”

How much will it cost?

No estimate of the total cost of implementing the Green New deal is offered by Ocasio-Cortez.

However, as Ocasio-Cortez admits, “even if every billionaire and company came together and were willing to pour all the resources at their disposal into this investment, the aggregate value of the investments they could make would not be sufficient.”

She does provide one estimate that the cost to “repair and upgrade infrastructure U.S. infrastructure” alone will cost “$4.6 trillion at minimum.”

How will it be paid for? Don’t worry about that.

Ocasio-Cortez doesn’t provide any insight into how the trillions of dollars in spending will be paid for other than claiming, “The Federal Reserve can extend credit to power these projects and investments and new public banks can be created to extend credit”.

Suppose that every day, ten men go out for beer and the bill for all ten comes to $100.
If they paid their bill the way we pay our taxes, it would go something like this:
The first four men (the poorest) would pay nothing.
The fifth would pay $1.
The sixth would pay $3.
The seventh would pay $7.
The eighth would pay $12.
The ninth would pay $18.
The tenth man (the richest) would pay $59.
So, that's what they decided to do. The ten men drank in the bar every day and seemed quite happy with the arrangement, until one day, the owner threw them a curve. He said, "Since you are all such good customers, I'm going to reduce the cost of your daily beer by $20. Drinks for the ten now cost just $80."
The group still wanted to pay their bill the way we pay our taxes, so the first four men were unaffected. They would still drink for free. But what about the other six men -- the paying customers?
How could they divide the $20 windfall so that everyone would get his "fair share"? They realized that $20 divided by six is $3.33. But if they subtracted that from every body's share, then the fifth man and the sixth man would each end up being paid to drink his beer. So the bar owner suggested that it would be fair to reduce each man's bill by roughly the same amount, and he proceeded to work out the amounts each should pay!
And so:
The fifth man, like the first four, now paid nothing (100% savings).
The sixth now paid $2 instead of $3 (33% savings).
The seventh now pay $5 instead of $7 (28% savings).
The eighth now paid $9 instead of $12 (25% savings).
The ninth now paid $14 instead of $18 (22% savings).
The tenth now paid $49 instead of $59 (16% savings).
Each of the six was better off than before. And the first four continued to drink for free. But once outside the restaurant, the men began to count up are their savings.
"I only got a dollar out of the $20," declared the sixth man. He pointed to the tenth man, "but he got $10!" "Yeah, that's right,' exclaimed the fifth man. "I only saved a dollar, too. It's unfair that he got ten times more than I!" "That's true!!"shouted the seventh man. "Why should he get $10 back when I got only $2? The wealthy get all the breaks!" "Wait a minute," yelled the first four men in unison. "We didn't get anything at all. The system exploits the poor!" The nine men surrounded the tenth and beat him up.
The next night the tenth man didn't show up for drinks, so the nine sat down and had beers without him. But when it came time to pay the bill, they discovered something important. They didn't have enough money between all of them for even half of the bill!

The so-called Camp Fire has already consumed over 20,000 acres in Northern California, forcing about 50,000 people to evacuate. But the fire has moved so quickly that some people have barely escaped—like Brynn Parrott Chatfield from the town of Paradise, who posted this video to social media showing her family’s terrifying drive through the flames yesterday. The video, published to Facebook, truly looks like something out of a movie. They’re surrounded on both sides with flames lapping at the road as they race to get out.

VIDEO: Complaints of voter intimidation at Texas early voting location

There have been several complaints about voter intimidation at a Mesquite polling station. Some voters say they felt intimidated by campaign workers as they walked inside. The Dallas County Elections Office says it has fielded phone calls and emails about the location. Some people complained that they’re being harassed by aggressive campaign workers. At the Lakeside Activities Center Monday in Mesquite, voters have found it’s nearly impossible to get from the parking lot to the front door of the polling station without being bombarded by candidates and campaign workers from both sides of the aisle. They are ready with a handshake and a pamphlet. There’s also the signage that is impossible to ignore. The opening for the entrance is very small. “Having people come up to you to hand you things all in your face is not very good,” said voter Florene Adams. “But we do need the literature.” Dallas County Elections Administrator Toni Pippins-Poole says while her office has fielded complaints, there’s not much it can do. “We don’t have any type of authority,” she said. “That becomes the city’s authority. That’s their parking lot. That’s their location.” The signs and electioneering may be annoying to some, but Pippins-Poole says if they’re beyond 100 feet from the door of the polling place that they’re permitted and out of her office’s jurisdictions. However, a city can have its own ordinances governing what’s acceptable beyond the 100-foot mark at polling sites on city property. While a FOX 4 crew was at the polling location, Mesquite PD responded to a disagreement over the 100-foot mark. Not everyone has an issue with what they’ve encountered, like first-time voter Naomi Edegbe. “They are doing their thing. They’re doing their job, and I can’t be mad at them for it,” she said. Pippins-Poole says her office has had discussions with the city of Mesquite about addressing the issue. In the meantime, she says voters should call police to respond if they feel harassed.
