Interesting historical tidbit: Nixon discusses the Healthcare System and his plan for reform vs. the Democrats' plan during his Presedency. "If medical care is free, then that is not the right approach and it's not the American way of doing things".

Under the plan Nixon proposed, the additional cost was to be payed for out of revenue that was already available with no government intervention!
